This easy, no-bake Nutella tiramisu is irresistibly creamy and guaranteed to impress all your friends.
Looking to indulge a little? EASY chocolate hazelnut tiramisu is exactly what you’re looking for. It’s rich, delicious, and so easy to make– if you can make whipped cream, you can make this tiramisu.
Why you’ll love this recipe:
- It’s entirely no bake—you don’t need your oven at all
- It’s the perfect make-ahead dessert because it needs to chill overnight
- Even if you don’t make desserts regularly, this is so easy to make it’s practically foolproof
How to make your tiramisu
- Combine mascarpone and nutella
- Whip heavy cream to stiff peaks
- Gently fold the nutella-mascarpone into the whipped cream
- Dip ladyfingers into strong coffee, then arrange in the bottom of an 8-inch baking dish
- Spread half of the whipped cream over that
- Top with another layer of ladyfingers
- Spread the remaining whipped cream over the top
- Dust the tiramisu with cocoa powder
Then chill overnight and serve! It’s really that easy.
How to store tiramisu
Uneaten Nutella tiramisu can be stored, covered with plastic wrap, in the fridge for up to 4 days.
You can also freeze it for 2 to 3 months. I like to portion it into individual airtight containers first. Thaw it in the fridge for a few hours (or overnight).
Recipe notes and tips
• Be sure your whipping cream is really cold before you start whipping it. Room temp whipping cream doesn’t whip up as stiffly as it needs to for tiramisu.
• This recipe calls for frangelico (see below) or rum. But if you prefer to make your tiramisu liquor-free, you can omit the alcohol and use an additional 1/4 cup of strong coffee or espresso.
• If you omit the alcohol, I recommend adding a teaspoon or two of vanilla or almond extract to flavor the coffee. (Almond extract is especially good in this recipe.)
• I used Delallo brand ladyfingers but use what is available to you.
Can I substitute cream cheese for mascarpone?
You can use cream cheese instead of mascarpone, but the flavor won’t be quite the same. Mascarpone is a little richer than cream cheese and isn’t quite as tangy, and since it’s easy to find at most grocery stores I recommend using it if you’re able.
Subbing cream cheese is perfectly fine if you really can’t get your hands on mascarpone though!
What is frangelico?
Frangelico is a hazelnut-flavored liqueur. It’s absolutely not crucial to this recipe (you can sub in rum or more coffee instead and your tiramisu will still be delicious). But it does complement the hazelnut in the Nutella, and since I make a lot of desserts with Nutella I always have a bottle on hand.

Easy Nutella tiramisu is creamy, delicious, and guaranteed to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
- 4 ounces mascarpone at room temperature
- 1 cup Nutella
- 1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream very cold
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup very strong coffee or espresso at room temperature
- 1/4 cup Frangelico or rum*
- 7 ounces ladyfingers
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- Combine the mascarpone and Nutella in a small mixing bowl and stir or beat with an electric mixer until well combined.
- Place the heavy cream into a large mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer on medium just until it begins to thicken.
- Gradually beat in the powdered sugar, then turn the speed to high and beat until stiff peaks form. (The peaks are stiff when you can pull the beaters out and the whipped cream doesn’t collapse on itself.)
- Gently fold the mascarpone-Nutella mixture into the whipped cream.
- Place the coffee and Frangelico (or rum or additional coffee) in a shallow bowl.
- Working with half of the ladyfingers, dip the top and bottom of each cookie in the coffee mixture. You don’t want the lady fingers to be soggy; just make sure each cookie has absorbed some of the liquid.
- Arrange the ladyfingers in one layer in the bottom of an 8-inch square baking dish. Break the cookies if necessary to completely cover the bottom of the dish.
- Gently spread half of the whipped cream mixture over the lady fingers.
- Repeat the process with the remaining ladyfingers, coffee, and Nutella whipped cream.
- Top with cocoa powder; a sifter is helpful for dusting the cocoa powder in an even layer. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight before serving.
- Uneaten Nutella Tiramisu can be stored, covered, in the fridge for up to 4 days.
- It can also be frozen in airtight containers for 2 to 3 months.
- *If you prefer to make your tiramisu liquor free, omit the Frangelico/rum and use an additional 1/4 cup of strong coffee. Add a teaspoon or two of vanilla or almond extract to flavor the coffee.
- I used Delallo brand lady fingers.
