Chocolate chip cookie Snickers bars are a delicious hybrid of the classic cookie and delicious candy bar. You need these in your life!
Some combinations were just not meant to be.
Ammonia and bleach.
That Brad Paisley/LL Cool J song from a few years back. (Is there an eraser for the ears? )
Pumpkin spice and water. Just NO!
But some combos are a match made in heaven. Meant to be. Nothing short of delicious and wonderful destiny.
For example: what would you get if a mad (but brilliant) scientist created a cookie-candy bar hybrid? You’d get these chocolate chip cookie Snickers bars!
Fortunately you don’t need some fancy Dr. Frankenstein lab to whip up a wonderful hybrid dessert. You can make these right in your own kitchen, no scalpels or special candy-making equipment necessary.
All you need is a sweet tooth and a healthy dose of willpower so you don’t eat them all in one sitting. Because trust me, you’ll want to inhale every single one.
From the nougat packed with salted peanuts to the gooey caramel to the chocolate layer on top, these chocolate chip cookie Snickers bars hit every texture and flavor note you could hope for.
If you’re lacking willpower (ummmm like me) then I recommend finding a gaggle of neighbor children. Save a few for yourself and give the rest to kiddos who can burn off the sugar in no time flat. Besides saving your waistline, this should also save your house from Halloween pranks next year.
For ease, the cookie base is made with store-bought cookie dough. (This is my new favorite shortcut, FYI.)
Marshmallow creme is the base of the nougat filling, and the caramel layer is made with store-bought caramels.
Chocolate chip cookie Snickers bars are an ideal addition to your Christmas cookie trays, lovely for afternoon tea, and delicious for breakfast too!
Please oh please don’t judge me for needing a cookie at 6:30 am once in awhile :).

Chocolate chip cookie Snickers bars are a delicious and gooey chocolate chip bar cookie that tastes like a Snickers candy bar!
- 2 16-ounce packages chocolate chip cookie dough
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk
- 2 7 ounce jars marshmallow creme
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter don’t use natural
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups roasted salted peanuts coarsely chopped
- 1 11-ounce package individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter don’t use natural
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 13- by 9-inch baking pan with cooking spray (or line with parchment paper) and set aside.
- Press the cookie dough into an even layer in the bottom of the pan and bake for 22 to 28 minutes, until the edges are set and the top is golden. Place on a wire rack and cool completely before proceeding.
- Place the butter in a medium saucepan and melt over medium heat. Stir in the sugar and evaporated milk, then bring to a simmer. Simmer 4 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly, then remove from the heat.
- Stir in the marshmallow creme, peanut butter, and vanilla and stir until completely combined. Stir in the chopped peanuts and spread over the cooled cookie layer. Refrigerate until set, about 1 hour.
- Combine the caramel and heavy cream in a small saucepan and stir over low heat until caramels are melted and mixture is smooth. The caramels will look like they don’t want to melt at first; just keep stirring and they’ll get there.
- Spread over the nougat layer and refrigerate until set, about 30 minutes.
- Place the chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave, stirring often, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth. Pour over the caramel layer and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (overnight is better). Use a very sharp knife to slice into bars. Serve.

Holy guacamole, these look amazing! I am not sure I could share with the neighborhood kids. The punishment of only being able to wear elastic wastebands for the next few weeks would totally be worth it!

You know what I like, and like them Snickers! Chocolate chips cookies are awesome too, but Snickers get my attention every time! The two together make an A-list kind of dessert❣️❣️

Totally a stroke of genius. I love Snickers bars, but what you have done here is simply creativity at work. The nougat layer and the caramel layer…sandwiched between cookie and chocolate…Honestly…Do your neighbors know you made these?
Kelsie says
Thank you, Milena! Hope you had a great weekend!
Ben|Havocinthekitchen says
Yup, some combinations were just not meant to be, and one of them would be Kelsie and salads haha. Just teasing – I’m always excited to see your dessert ideas (Oh gosh, cannot wait to see what you’ll bring to us for Christmas). This creation is just fabulous. Cookies, nougat, caramel, peanuts, more peanuts, and chocolate. Speechless. This would be the perfect edible gift for holidays. Just a little hint 🙂
Kelsie says
Hahaha! Confession: I love veggies :). Thank you, Ben!

Leanne | Crumb Top Baking says
Kelsie, I’m currently on my lunch break at work, and all I can think about is eating one of these for lunch instead of my salad! I love that photo with the bite taken out. That’s an “eat with your eyes” kind of photo! And I love the shortcut with the store bought cookie dough. Who would ever know it wasn’t homemade when the cookie looks this impressive?!?
Kelsie says
Thank you, Leanne! No one could ever tell the cookie layer isn’t homemade because there’s just so much going on here :). Have a great weekend, my friend!
Kim | The Baking ChocolaTess says

Kelsie says
Thank you, Chey! Anyone who loves Snickers won’t be able to resist these. I know because I’m one of them :). Have a great weekend!
Marci says
Oh these look magical! How far in advanced do you think these could be made?
Kelsie says
Thank you, Marci! I would say up to 3 days in advance and stored in the fridge you should be fine. In the freezer they’ll last longer but you’ll want to let them thaw a bit before you serve them or you’ll break your jaw. (I just took a bite of one right from the freezer and OUCH, haha!)
Kelly @ Kelly Lynns Sweets and Treats says
Oh emmmm gee!!! Of all the delicious things you make, I think this takes the cake!! I know I couldn’t be trusted around a pan of these. But I still want to make them! Yum!!!!
